You may have a virus/spyware hijack

download the Stinger from here and run it to make sure that A-V-disabling
viruses are not present on your PC
http://download.nai.com/products/mca...rt/stinger.exe

- update your virus scanner and run a full system scan of all files.

Reboot to Safe Mode and run CWShredder - to remove variants of the
CoolWebSearch hijacker.
http://www.merijn.org/cwschronicles.html

Use CWShredder, the removal tool:
http://www.merijn.org/files/cwshredder.zip
http://www.merijn.org/files/CWShredder.exe
http://www.spywareinfo.com/downloads...CWShredder.exe
http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip

download AdAware from www.lavasoftusa.com, install, update, and run it to
remove spyware, adware,
and other such nasties from your system.

Default 7172696976.TMP error message HELP!!!

The error "Explorer has caused an error in ~7172696976.TMP" or similar is due
to malware of some sort, possibly a commercial parasite picked up whilst
browsing. Lots of users have been reporting this problem in the last week or
so but the malware's name and source is, to me at least, still unknown.
Check your system using your preferred antivirus application making sure first
that you are using an updated current set of viral reference signatures.

Try booting to Safe Mode and emptying both your Windows\Temp folder and also
your Temporary Internet Files (Control Panel | Internet Options | General |
Delete Files and make sure you check the box "Delete all offline content").
Next open MSConfig, (Start | Run, type MSConfig in the box and click OK), open
the Startup tab and look for an uncheck any rogue entries.

Boot back into Normal Mode.

This would be a good time to download yourself a copy of the free Ad-Aware 6.0
from Lavasoft (http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/) and also SpyBot
Search & Destroy (http://www.safer-networking.org/) and use them to check your
system for other commercial parasites remembering that they are only as good
as when you last updated their reference files. I also use a program called
BHODemon (http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm that checks for
unwanted Browser Help Objects and SpywareBlaster
(http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareblaster.html) which can help prevent
some parasites getting a grip on your PC.

Then there is CWShredder
(http://www.zerosrealm.com/downloads/CWShredder.zip or
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip) which is the best way
of getting rid of the many forms of the CoolWebSearch hijacker details of
which can be found at http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/cwschronicles.html
and also http://www.pestpatrol.com/pestinfo/c/cws.asp..

Finally if you still continue to experience problems download a copy of
HijackThis from (http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/downloads.html). Create a
folder called hijackthis on C: and copy the file you downloaded to that
folder. Close as many applications as you can including all instances of
Internet Explorer and then run hijackthis.exe and post back the log, provided
that it isn't too long, to this thread, otherwise to the HijackThis Forum at
http://forums.spywareinfo.com/ or alternatively
http://forum.aumha.org/viewforum.php?f=30 and hopefully this will enable
someone to identify the cause of your problem.

Can't really help except to say that mine does the same
but the file is GMAR32SD.DLL. Someone suggested that I
go to STARt-SEARCH then put in the file name and erase it
when I find it, but I couldn't find any file that way.
Maybe you'll have better luck with this than I.

1) please post your EXACT problem to a new thread - this is NOT related to
the OP's problem
2) are your sure of the spelling of your error message? - if so, then the
same fix may apply - OTOH, if the actual message is related to GEAR32SD.DLL,
then the problem may relate to drivers....DETAILS will help solve it!
