So, Figgs. You agree that with JSE 5.0 Update 6 installed there's no need to
install JSE 5.0 Update 6?

how painfully slowly it is possible so to do!

be installed ASAP.

Start -- settings -- control panel -- Java applet --
cache --

clear
or

4) Re-scan your system using your AVG software.

Where'd JSE come from anyway? Reminds me of something. Maybe it's the Java
Sunshine Environment. Presumably you can get a coffee there.

ver. 1.5 & 1.6. According to Heather it's allright to keep.

To remove all doubt, I checked with java.com directly and they congratulated
me for having installed the latest version of Sun Microsystem's software.
As always, 'the proof is in the pudding'.

Ah, yes. Can't remember whether I ever ran such a version. JRE *looks* more
familiar, but I put little faith in looks anymore. Well, except in the
mirror.

Sorry ctowers, but no mention about previous versions.
I didn't have an exchange with them, simply tried to download the current
latest JRE version and, after their scan of my installed version, wound up
with said message.
As Shane already pointed out, w'll leave it at that.
Earlier versions seem to have 'traps' in them, so they say.
