Programs popping up causing problems
When I'm typing things, and a program tries to access the internet or a virus
scan runs, the window always pops up above everything and it screws things up. I've once ended up cancelling a virus scan because of it and sometimes may have denied internet access to a program requesting it for potential updates simply because I'm typing. How do I make these popup things just flash on the taskbar and don't interrupt anything? It's very annoying. It even causes me, during my game development or playing games (like Midtown Madness 2), to leave the game engine (although it still runs) just because a program pops up from a scheduled task. I really want to prevent this from happening as it's getting on my nerves. Without the scheduled tasks, I'll likely end up forgetting to run updates or a virus scan (as sometimes I end up going three weeks without it) so I sort of would like scheduled tasks to happen. Thanks for any help on this issue. |

You need to look for this facility within the application itself. This is
not a Windows feature - it is a feature built in to the application that is actually popping up the window. If the option doesn't exist in the application then you need to disable automatic updates or scans whileever you are doing something more important. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "ulillillia" wrote in message ...
