Shane, you can't possibly leave us. As Heather said before, what would we do
without your "one-of-a-kind" humor?
How about a little reconsideration ?

Harry.

Yes, my dear Watson, I agree with you. And you can't bow out coz we
will miss you too much...not to mention your bizarre sense of humour,
lol.

On the elemental contrary, Figgleswade Tetrasulphide! You know what they
say, Holmes: "Always leave then wanting less!"

How's the hand doing? No, don't go there, lol.

I'll put a picture up on the website.

So, Naked News is Canadian, is it?

I rest my case...Oh wait, I rest my arse..on my case!

So, Figgs. You agree that with JSE 5.0 Update 6 installed there's no
need to
install JSE 5.0 Update 6?

;-)

btw I'm bowing out. You probably all realised this long ago and
wonder just
how painfully slowly it is possible so to do!

No....I use the same as you. As long as you have the latest version
5.0, Update 6 installed (with no others), you are fine.

Hello Dave:
I have JSE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 6 installed. Is that
allright, or
must I also replace it with your suggested version?

Harry.

computer. Today it dtected that 4 files are infected. These are
Java/ByeVeify.
1. Bkackbox.class
2. Verifyerbug.class
3. Beyond.class
4. Count[1].Jar
I did search on the net and found out how to remove these files.
It said go to Start
2. Setting
3. Control Panel
4. Open Java Plug-in Contol Panel (I cant find this option on my
control panel)
I checked my system and it has Microsoft Vm machine 5.00.3810
So what should I do to correct all this.
Any help will be highly appreciated.

There are anti virus News Groups specifically for this type of
discussion.

If you are using any version of Sun Java that is prior to JRE
Version
5.0,
then you are strongly urged to remove any/all versions that are
prior to
JRE
Version 5.0. There are vulnerabilities in them and they are
actively being exploited.

Therefore, it is highly suggested that if there are any prior
versions of
Sun Java
to Version 5 on the PC that they be removed and Sun Java JRE
Version
5.0
Update 6
be installed ASAP.

1) Dump the contents of your IE cache -
Start -- settings -- control panel -- Internet options

2) Dump the contents of the Mozilla FireFox Cache { if you use
FireFox } Tools -- Options -- Privacy -- Cache -- Clear

3) Dump the contents of your Sun Java cache -
Start -- settings -- control panel -- Java applet --

clear
or
Start -- settings -- control panel -- Java applet --
general -- settings -- delete files

4) Re-scan your system using your AVG software.
