RUNDLL error message

Message when windows Me loads...
RUNDLL
Error loading C:\WINDOWS\DOWNLO-1\AXFILTER.DDL
The system cannot find the file specified.

...I click ok and loads up normally..

...any ideas..?

Uncheck the entry in MSConfig | Startup that is attempting to launch this
DLL which is not part of Win Me and quite probably malicious or at least
an unwanted parasite of some sort. I suspect that the file was removed by
your AV application which is why it is not present and causing the message
you are seeing when you boot Win Me.

So, Start | Run, enter MSConfig in the box and click OK, click the Startup
tab and look for an uncheck the entry that refers in the right hand column
to rundll.exe and axfilter.dll. Apply and OK. Reboot and when prompted
about being in selective startup mode click OK to acknowledge and to not
show the message in future. Win Me should now load without further
reference to axfilter.dll.
