Windows Logon Prompt persisting
I have a similar problem to Tom (post 23 June. We
changed our server software from Novell to Windows 2000 and, ever since, several of the Windows 98 workstations display the Windows Logon prompt, which the user has to Cancel and then Logoff before obtaining the network logon box. The AutoLogon entry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersi on\Network\Real Mode Net does not exist. I have also found a reference to ProcessLogonScript in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Network\Logon, but this does not exist, either. Finally, I have looked at the instructions in Article 152104 but, even when I logon locally at can see the Change Passwords tab, the option to change them is greyes out. Any help anyone can offer will be gratefull received, as this is driving me nuts! |
