Default Avsynmgr

When I boot up I get the error message:

Avsynmgr has caused an error in MCSCAN32.DLL
Avsynmgr will now close.

When I click on the close option the com;puter finishes
booting up.

When I try to go into Word or Excel I get the following
message:

Excel has caused an error in MCSCVAN32.DLL
Avsynmgr will now close.

I cannot get into Word or Excel. How can I fix this?

This message is indicating that your McAfee AV application is having problems,
MCSCAN32.DLL being part of McAfee. Not having McAfee installed I cannot
comment about Avsynmng and am guessing that this is a McAfee function. Try
uninstalling and then reinstalling McAfee.
