Default Can't retreive email from servers

Hello,

My PC was infected with a virus,despite having up-to-date virus software,
and I needed to completely reboot my PC from the system recovery disks. I
use Windows ME. Since then, my email downloads to my PC to OE from Comcast
(Default) with no problems. However any mail I try to received directly from
a server (hotmail, comcast, or my work) on Internet Explorer does not
process. I get a blank page with the Internet Explorer Done logo. I have no
problems viewing websites and order forms, just email servers.

Any help on what settings need to be changed would be appreciated.

Begin by examining the details of the various accounts in OE under the
"Tools/Acounts" preferences.
Look for incorrect or missing user names, passwords, etc.
