Default New hardware found

Everytime I boot up my computer windows detects new other device hardware.
If I alow it to install it messes with other programs like it is tying up a
resource like a com port. Therefore everytime I boot up I have to cancel the
new hardware installation for all my other programs to work. It is anoying
as hell. There is no other device hardware in my system. I tried to let it
install and then disable it but still my system resorces were tied up. I
tried to disable plug and play in bios but to no avail. It still detects new
other device hardware. Please help remove other device hardware detection.
Thank you.

Why is it detecting something when there is nothing there?

The driver you have already installed for the device does not correctly
advise Windows that it is managing the device. Therefore, Windows sees the
device as having no installed driver, and proceeds to search for a suitable
driver to install for the device. This can happen with older device drivers
not properly written to Windows' standards, or with device drivers that are
not specifically written for the particular device, or devices that are
configured differently than the installed driver expects or assumes.

Go to your computer/motherboard manufacturer's web site and download
the latest Windows 98 drivers for your exact computer/motherboard
model and install them.

Reboot the computer after installing the drivers and see if the "other
device" detection still occurs.

If it does then shut down the computer and reboot into Safe Mode. In
Safe Mode open Device Manager and browse through all of the device
categories looking for duplicated and/or incorrect items.
- If any devices are duplicated then remove every repeat every
instance of that device. EXCEPTION: "IRQ holder for PCI IRQ
Steering" type entries in the System Devices category can be
legitimately duplicated and therefore do not need to be removed.
- remove every entry in the "other devices" category.
- remove every entry which you know does not physically exist on your
computer any more.

Shut down and reboot the computer normally. It will redetect and
install a single instance of those devices that actually exist. This
should resolve the issue.

The reason for rebooting in Safe Mode is that very often a device that
was incompletely or incorrectly installed in some way will not be
listed in Device Manager on a normal startup but will be there when
booted in Safe Mode. These items are often the underlying cause of
problems such as you are having.

Good luck
