Win98 iexplore, control panel, and printer panel abends

My win98 internet explorer 5.5, control panel, and printer panel all abend any
time I click on them. The common thread among these is that Kernel32.dll
crashes are involved every time. It's really irritating as this has started the
day before I started back at college and I'm trying to download some stuff for
class. I used Netscape, but my computer froze up on the same page using it, so
I went the IE route.

Does this mean my Windows files are corrupted and I need to reload (yet again)?
