VMM32.vxd is missing or will not load
Hi,
I was updating a machine from Windows 95 to Windows 98. I did the simple delete and recreate a FAT32 partition, then install Win98. After it did its first reboot I got an error message stating that vmm32.vxs is either missing or it cannot load. My only option after that is to reboot the machine. I've tried to restore that vxd file based on Microsoft Knowledge Base Article (MKBA) 311188 and 194679. I've been able to extract the file, but nothing changes. Does anyone know what the deal is with this file and this suposedly simple upgrade? Thanks. Marc F. "Let the blind lead the blind... it's more fun to watch." |
