Error Message - vshwin32 caused an invalid page fault
I applied the latest McAfee update to my Antivirus program
version 4.5 last night. Earlier tonight my Windows did not start, it just stayed on the Windows 98 screen. Then I booted up my computer with my startup disk and removed the command that referenced to the scan.exe in my autoexec.bat in my c drive. Then I got into my Windows desktop but it gave me the error message: vshwin32 caused an invalid page fault in module MCSCAN32. Should I remove my McAfee program and re-install it. I am concern that this problem will re-occurred once I apply the update again. Any help would be appreciated. |

Ann, go to this page:
http://forums.mcafeehelp.com/search.php Enter "vshwin32 + mcscan32" (w/out the quotes) in the Search box. Click the search button and then review previous threads about your problem. VirusScan 4.5 is very outdated and is prolly no longer supported by McAfee, I'm afraid, so an upgrade may be required.
