VPICD Windows protection !!!!

HELP PLEASE!!
When turning on my computer, everything seems to be
booting up fine, then I get a blank screen saying "device
VPICD, windows protection error resart your computer"
which I do and this happens again and again.
So if anyone can please help thanks.

Boot into safe mode (holding down Ctrl during
a reboot) and look in / System / Device Manager
for yellow trouble flags: reinstal drivers.

Thanks for that however when I tried sade mode I now get
this message 'invalid VXD dynamic link call to device
number 3 service B, windows conf is invalid. run windows
set up programme.(I have not received the VPICD message)
I have no windows 98 cd as it was installed on the
computer,I have used the systems restore which was fine
and I have checked system reg which are fine. So if you
have anymore help.
