Default adding a new computer to the network

I have my main computer that is running win xp pro and another computer that
is running win 98. How do i set the win 98 machine to see the drives on the
xp machine?
With xp i can just add new network place, but how do i do that in 98?

Win98se should see any drive on any computer on the network that has
sharing enabled for the drive. You just look in Network Places.

True in theory, but the NT-based permission schemes play havoc with
that. You only need to cruise Usenet groups like this one to see
how much trouble people have actually making it work.

Personally, I think a far better solution is a Solaris (or Linux)
server running Samba.
