the cmos batt may be dead
the clock and date will not stay set with system off I cant imagine how the mobo could of gotten fried A dead battery is just that, it doesn't mean that your mobo is fried. have you tried replacing the battery? winword caused invalid page fault in module winword.exe at 0187:300b4d5c Using Explorer's Search look for all instances of the Word template file normal.dot and rename them normal.bak and then retry opening Word. If that solves the problem a new default template file will automatically be recreated and you can delete the files you renamed. For more details of this suggested fix see MS KB 305166 - "Works Suite: Error Message: Winword Caused an Invalid Page Fault in Module Winword.exe" (http://support.Microsoft.com?kbid=305166). -- Mike Maltby MS-MVP startex wrote: I am half stumped looking for advice the cmos batt may be dead the clock and date will not stay set with system off I cant imagine how the mobo could of gotten fried winword caused invalid page fault in module winword.exe at 0187:300b4d5c hd space ok hd scan ok ram ok resources 80% deleted temp files checked for virii ?? tia |
