Default Yahoo Messenger 6.0 and Windows ME

Hello there;

I recently upgraded from Yahoo Messenger 5.6 to 6.0.

Shortly thereafter, I began to experience many blue screen error messages
of varying sorts. Furthermore, when these happened, I would not be able to
simply reboot the PC but had to shut the power to reboot.

These errors were most likely to occur during a switch from one Yahoo user
to another.

I reinstalled the older version of the Yahoo Messenger. Some problems
persist, but relatively minor.

Yahoo Tech Support recommended reinastalling the newer version with no other
programs running. I had already tried reinstalling, but not without disbling
other programs.

I'm wondering if this might derive from some compatibility issue between
Yahoo Messenger and ME.

Have others here noticed something similar?

Were you able to resolve it?

Thanks in advance.

-Eli

No problem here. But i never upgrade. I uninstall the old version,
reboot and reinstall the new one. No crashes or any other problem. But i
only use one ID.
