Default Upgrading

Hello
My computer is curently running win 95 as im sure you
know that causes me many problems with trying to run more
current software,media Viewers,downloads,Ext. I know that
I can't up grade to xp from 95. can I upgrade to 98 then
xp or do I uninstall 95 then install XP? Any help would
be appriciated

You would have to start from scratch installing XP. It will not upgrade a
win95 installation. However, the win95 disk will serve as a qualifying
product for winXP retail upgrade version.

I would not expect a computer with win95 to meet all the hardware
requirements for winXP. Make sure you check before trying this route.

Yes, you could upgrade to win98SE then to XP. However, the same reservations
with regard to your hardware as above would apply.
Maybe using win98SE may be a better solution again depending on your machine

A note to Jon's post: Or, unless you have done extensive hardware upgrades,
perhaps it is time for a new PC. If you haven't priced them lately, you
will be amazed at what your money will buy.
