You would have to start from scratch installing XP. It will not upgrade a
win95 installation. However, the win95 disk will serve as a qualifying product for winXP retail upgrade version. I would not expect a computer with win95 to meet all the hardware requirements for winXP. Make sure you check before trying this route. Please visit this place http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/p...g/default.mspx Yes, you could upgrade to win98SE then to XP. However, the same reservations with regard to your hardware as above would apply. Maybe using win98SE may be a better solution again depending on your machine -- Jon Hildrum DTS MVP www.hildrum.com " wrote in message ... A note to Jon's post: Or, unless you have done extensive hardware upgrades,
perhaps it is time for a new PC. If you haven't priced them lately, you will be amazed at what your money will buy. http://www1.us.dell.com/content/prod...=19&l=en&s=dhs -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP for W98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "Jon_Hildrum" wrote in message ...
