It's been a while since I've worked on win98 machine... any wisdom? a side issue that might be related, when I change the config on the folder options, it will not keep the changes... ?? thanks in advance for any help. niteowl |

windows explorer not displaying "date" column.. how do I turn it on?
Open Windows Explorer in Details view.
Click in a blank spot of the right-hand pane of the Explorer window, where all the columns are shown. Hold down the CTRL key on the keyboard and press the + key on the numeric keypad. -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Shell/User, A+ "Niteowl" wrote in message ... windows explorer not displaying "date" column.. how do I turn it on?
thanks, I had tried the sliding thing, but must have kept missing, I was
able finally to grab the "right" place and did slide it over... I thought I deleted my post, as I discovered the answer before too long. I guess I only deleted it on my machine though. oh well, thanks anyway. I liked Glen's solution too (Ctrl + "numeric +") to expand all the columns... learn something new everyday! thanks for taking the time to post, I do appreciate it. niteowl "philo" wrote in message ...
