Default Ping question

Every ping I try times out. Example:
ping optonline.net
gives 3 timeout notices and a final message saying 4 tried 0 returns,
100% lost.

ZoneAlarm Plus is set to allow TCP/IP PING command for all cases.
Norton Internet Security is disabled but Antivirus Autoprotect, Email Scanning,
and Script Blocking are enabled. ICM32.DLL, ICMP.DLL and ICMUI.DLL all have
access to the net.

Don't have any more info on what could prevent Ping from working, and will
appreciate any response..

first nad foremest the site you choose must not have a FireWall and is indeed pingable. I
can't ping 'optonline.net' either so that's a poor test. I can do the following ... telnet
optonline.net 80 and I get a connection. I can also perform
http://www.optonline.net/Home so the site is up, it just doesn't allow pings.

The site 'yahoo.com' is pingable. Please try it.

ping yahoo.com
