Missing Operating System
Good Day everyone-- I am in a situation where i was consistenly getting
memory and error messages using win 98. I have 256 and the only use of the computer is basic internet usage. To cut to the chase, I was not able to resolve the issues causing the problem so I wanted to clean everything up, hence I repartitioned the drive and at the point were I wanted to reboot with the startup disk to reformat the drive I get an error that the disk is not bootable, (verified all nessary files were on the disk prior and they are). I cannot get a C prompt just a message stating that the OS is missing. I would appreciate any advise on tasks to help me get the computer up and running again. Thanks. |

As Jon said, change the boot device order in the BIOS so that the floppy
drive is the first device.
