Hi - I have an ACOM Data external HD connected through a USB 2.0 hub -
the drive shows up in the Windows status bar but doesn't appear in
Windows Explorer.
I am using Win 98 2nd edition. Any help appreciated.

Thanks in advance,
El Squid

Has the drive been partitioned with a partition type that Windows
understands (such as FAT32)?

What is showing in the status bar is the device utility. That might be how
you get access to the partitioning function.

Yes - the drive is partitioned. As a matter of fact it is a carryover
from my Windows XP install, so it should be plug and play compatible
right ???

Is it partitioned in a way that Windows 98 can understand, such as FAT32?
