Default USB Mouse Has Stopped Working

I ended up talking to the support line, and it wss a BIOS
problem which had taken out 3 of the 4 USB ports.

thanks for your help.

Check your BIOS; some may have particular settings for

USB keyboards/mice.

Check through

Programs/Accessories/SystemTools/SystemInfo to see if you
have an IRQ or Port conflict.

Remove *all* mouse drivers from DeviceManager (if

there's more than one)
and reboot.

You could try using the adapter (if you have one) to

put

it in the PS2

port (?)

Do you have other USB devices ?

Rick
not a big fan of USB (yet)

Sorry, I should have said that I'd already tried

this.

The mouse from the ME PC works fine on my XP PC, and

the

XP PC mouse doesn't work on the ME PC. I've also

tried

in various USB ports.

I've
tried re-installing, but no joy. Any ideas?

Try it on another machine and/or try another mouse

on

yours to see if

it's perhaps a loose wire or something.
