Default Re-establish user print queue after renumber net printer ip

I need to renumber a couple of network printer ip address later, most of them
are HP printer. My office network have around 20 Window 98 machines, 100 XP
machines, 40 NT/2000 machines access those IP printers on the Network, those
ip printing are make use of NT print queue in PDC.

I estimate the effort in this part. From my experience and GUT feeling,
maybe I'm wrong, I made an assumption.

1. After renumber network printers ip address, Users machines Operating
System like 2000/XP can remain NO change cause all these printing setup rely
on print queue, not direct print to IP port. So I think we don't need to
worry the effort to spend or it.

2. But I never support Window 98/NT for a couple of years, I'm not sure does
Window NT/98, especially Win 98 will capture all the IP information into
SYSTEM.INI or WIN.INI, I think I need to help the user to re-establish print
queue information in their desktop.

Does anyone have similiar experience before, if so, can anyone tell me that
the Windows 98/NT user setting need to re-establish or not.

Thanks
