Auto Updates
One of my Win98 pcs keeps telling me there are critical updates to unstall.
It appears to install when i tell it to do so, but then the next day it reminds me of the same update again. Am I doing someting wrong, or is it possible to turn off auto update Thanks -- Tobit |

Auto Updates
Please follow the procedures in this article=
Need Update again: http://www3.telus.net/dandemar/needagain.htm In Win98, you can turn off auto-updates by uninstalling the Critical Update Notification utility, via Add\Remove Programs. Then go to WU manually once a month....updates are released on the second Tuesday of each month. You can sign up for monthly email or IM notifications from he http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sec...in/notify.mspx -- Glen Ventura, MS MVP Shell/User, A+ http://dts-l.org/goodpost.htm "TC" wrote in message ...
