apss.inf is inside the cab files on the disk
You dont copy it start run sfc [x] 'extract one file from distribution disk' 'apss.inf' etcetera(follow the rest of the prompts) WARNING: DO NOT USE THE OTHER FUNCTION OF SFC 'SCAN FOR ALTERED FILES' shouted WARNING: DO NOT USE THE OTHER FUNCTION OF SFC 'SCAN FOR ALTERED FILES' twice it doesnt work it finds files that are different from its internal database, not files that are wrong, if you have ever installed software, visitied windows update, changed a system setting in any way, there will be dozens/hundreds/thousands of altered system files. Changing them back to the 'out of the box' condition will cause most of your software to fail immediately and be irrepairable without format reinstall. you were warned -- Adaware http://www.lavasoft.de spybot http://security.kolla.de AVG free antivirus http://www.grisoft.com Etrust/vet/CA 12 Month free trial (till Feb 2005) http://www.my-etrust.com/microsoft/ Etrust/Vet/CA.online Antivirus scan http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx Panda online AntiVirus scan http://www.pandasoftware.com/ActiveScan/ Catalog of removal tools (1) http://www.pandasoftware.com/download/utilities/ Catalog of removal tools (2) http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/n...aspx?CID=40387 Blocking Unwanted Parasites with a Hosts file http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/hosts.htm links provided as a courtesy, read all instructions on the pages before use Grateful thanks to the authors/webmasters _ "Keith French" wrote in message ...
