Default 'Quicktime' media player for windows

i know quicktime isn't a microsoft program, but where might i find a version
of it that will run with windows 98SE? i went to the quicktime website
(www.apple.com/quicktime/), but the only offerings they have for windows
require windows 2000 (or newer)... ideas &/or suggestions?

That link points to the download page for Version 7 for 2000/XP.
As far as I know, there is no new version for older systems. If I'm wrong,
can someone post a real link?

The last version to work on W9x was Quicktime 6.5.2

Galen gave the link to download it at Old Version
....and here's a direct link to the download itself:

Also, there are free 3rd-party (non-Apple) media players that mirror
the functionality of QuickTime and Real Networks, for those who prefer
to have nothing to do with these vendors.
