Default how to name my computer

I am trying to set up a Direct Cable Connection between my
laptop which runs on Windows 2000 and my home PC which
runs on Windows 98. I have installed everything and
designated the laptop as the host (that's where the data I
want to access is). I simply want to be able to access
that data from my home PC, so I can print a report from my
laptop. When I fifrst try to establish the connection, I
am requested to enter the name of the host computer
without any backslash characters. What is the computers
name? I have no idea. Where would I look for it?

On Windows 2000 the computer name is found by right-clicking the My Computer
icon, selecting Properties, then the Computer Name tab. In Windows 98 the
same information is found by opening the Network icon in the Control Panel,
then looking on the Identification tab.
