Default Kernel32.DLL

Recently started receiving the error "Science has caused
an error in KERNEL32.DLL Science will now close. If you
continue to experience problems, try restarting your
computer."

Can anyone help me?

What program are you running when you get the error?
the program 'science.exe' is not part of Win ME - and is what appears to be
causing the problem. Do a Search for the file - does the location and/or its
properties give any clue as to what it's from?
There are a few alternatives, from a quick Google, and we need to know which
it is before proceeding.

Thanks for your reply.
The error pops up usually after my computer has sat idle
for awhile. Could it be caused from a screen saver? I
can't find a science.exe file in a search.

There is a science.exe screensaver - which is known to cause problems.
Try changing your screensaver, and see if that helps.

I looked and the screen saver I had recently switched to
was in fact named "Science" and it is the one that rolls
around the screen and looks like a magnifying glass. In
fact, now that I think about it this problem started
around the time I switched to this screen saver. This is
too much of a coincidence. Thank you for your help!
