install problem

I'm trying to do a "clean install" of W98, a process that
I've done before but this time I've encountered a problem
that I'm not sure how to get around. My copy of W98 is an
upgrade version and when prompted to provide "proof of a
previous version" I inserted my W3.1 #1 diskette, then
the install process asked for diskette #2 and there's the
problem ... I've tossed it out. I don't remember ever
being asked for the #2 diskette and since I haven't got
one I don't know how to complete the install!

Can anyone help with this?

W95 only required disk 1--I believe W98 requires all the 3x disks or a W95
CD. No way around it so maybe you ought to pick up a used W95 CD.
