Default Foxconn 760GXK8MC hardware setting ?

OT:Now, I posted this in alt.comp.hardware.homebuilt and nobody gave me an
answer, so here I am - where the best brains reside, and of course
crossposted to XP General NG - where some of the best brains from W98 have
migrated to ! :-)

Just fitted an Nvidia card into the AGP slot on a Foxconn 760GXK8MC, can't
find a setting in BIOS
to switch off onboard graphics, or anything about a jumper on the
motherboard to disable the onboard graphics - on the stupid multi-language
giant motherboard glossy sheet.

Anyone know if you have to somehow switch off the onboard graphics
controller, or does it just "sort itself out " all by itself simply because
I've plugged in
an AGP card ?

It starts okay in VGA so I can get into BIOS, but, don't want to install
Windows, and start tweaking drivers until I know the hardware is correctly
set.

regards, Richard

Thank you Haggis, you shouldn't have gone to so much trouble though. It's
a new motherboard and I have the manual on cd. It's just as uninformative
as when sat in front of the thing rummaging through the bios in the PC
itself. In the bios "onchip VGA" settings, there is no option "switch off"
on the onboard graphics chip - also no jumper on the motherboard to turn it
off. So I'm guessing that the board detects a card in the AGP slot, and so
I don't have to do anything. I posted only on the off-chance that someone
has configured the same board and come across the same problem.

I didn't bother to email Foxconn, it would probably be like trying to email
PcChips !

We'll soon see if Windows XP Home ed. gets its' knickers in a twist, it's on
its' way in now !

regards, Richard
