Problem loading video files: clicking on avi/mpg file freezes my system for about 2 min before open it
I use BSplayer to play video files under Win98.
It worked fine, but from some time I have this annoying problem: If I open a video file or click on it or just open a directory where it is stored, my system freezes for about 2 - 5 minutes. Then the file is played correctly, and so for every video file I'll play after it. So it happens just the first time I am going to play a video file. It seems like my system is checking something and during this period I cannot do nothing. Most interesting, my audio files play without problems in the Winamp. So only video files are affected... I am suspecting about the Bittorent, which I have uninstalled already. Maybe it has changed some of my configuration, but I'm not sure.... Do you have any suggestion? |
