Default Win98se Browser problem

I am resurecting a dell laptop and installed win 98se. My wireless
connection to the internet and home network seems ok. Every time I start the
ie6 it goes to a
MSN set up your modem dialog. Which ends in a dead end. I downloaded ie6 and
reinstalled. Same problem. Thanks
Larry
