Default authentication code

Have an old copy of Windows Me, but I can't find my manual with the
authenication code. Is there a way to get a new one from Microsoft without
giving up my first born.

There is a way to get it from the Registry, but, I don't remember that one.
g
The easiest, for me, would be to use any of the free apps:
Belarc Advisor
Aida32
Sisoft Sandra
Everest
Do a Google search for a download location...........Belarc is handy, also,
for keeping track of your programs and updates.

To use any of these software downloads, I am guessing that would necessitate
it already being on a computer. I don't have it on any computer right now.
I have the disk, no manual with the code. Thanks though.

In that case, your only recourse would be to the magnanimity of Microsoft
(if you registered with them when you first installed it)

I decided to go in a different direction. Found a copy of 2000, which is
what was on the computer to begin with. has the codes. Thanks, though

No problem - good luck with Win2K, and make sure that you update it to
SP4!!!
