Default No video/audio streaming on Win98SE, IE6SP1

On a Win98SE system with IE6 SP1, it's not possible to watch some WMV
streamings on websites. I think that was tried all kinds of updates, like
Windows Media Player 9 and codecs from Microsoft. The window has player
buttons, but keeps with stopped status.

Anyone ever found a problem like this? Any possible solution?

Thanks in advance,

I found this, on the same media format:

http://portacurtas.uol.com.br/

On the left side, any of the numbered links after 'Os mais vistos'.

Well, I'm getting nebulous results. They seem to work, but not always on
the first try. It may be two in a row won't go, & one needs to close the
site & reopen it to get a second one to run. I don't know the cure,
whether it's WMP or the site at fault, or anything.

Wait for a few others to try it, perhaps. Could be it's the site at
fault.
