Is the printer a network capable printer and are both computers running
WinME as you have posted to a newsgroup for computers running WinME ? Come back with more details and we'll see what we can do to help. -- Joan Archer http://www.freewebs.com/crossstitcher http://lachsoft.com/photogallery "Lady20" wrote in message ... The easiest way to set up a network is to use a third party utility such as NETWORK MAGIC . It guides you through the setup of the network and sharing files and printer. You may download the free shareware version at http://www.networkmagic.com/. If you want to purchase it, I believe a home version is available for $25-$30, however I have seen it made available elsewhere for $12-$15. "Lady20" wrote in message ... How do I setup Networking? Lady20,
in addition to the suggestions already made, here is a simple solution: Use a switch between the printer and the two computers. I have used it for quite some time in the past and it worked just fine. Don't know if there is a way to use the printer for both pc's at the same time. Harry. "Lady20" wrote in message ... How do I setup Networking? A-B mechanical is correct, hence my closing remark. But then, it's only a suggestion. H. "N. Miller" wrote in message ... Would that be an A-B mechanical switch, or an Ethernet switch? Mechanical switch only works with one computer at a time. Suggest springing for a more expensive model with "break-befor-make" contacts. -- Norman ~Shine, bright morning light, ~now in the air the spring is coming. ~Sweet, blowing wind, ~singing down the hills and valleys. |
