windows not finding sound card at boot
We've been having this problem recently - windows isn't finding our
sound card on cold boot. It finds it when we reboot. The sound card is a tbs montego. There seemed to be a conflict between files for the sound card driver and norton systemworks. I had to reinstall msvcrt.dll from the norton cd in order to get the computer to boot at all. (This file is also a part of the sound card driver files.) Would appreciate any info on how to resolve this. Thanks. |

I should add that on cold boot windows finds the sound card but acts like it was never installed and brings up install windows which I cancel. When I reboot it acts like the card is installed. |
