Default no discs

i bought a used comp from a friend.(premio comp)
it had win 98 installed , but she had no disks with it.
alot has been deleted.
now the comp won't load past the ms windows98 screen.
the dir has nothing in it .
how would i reset the dir , or what is the problem?

if you need to reinstall windows
you should be able find a win98 cd on eaby
