Default System info app.

I am running a computer on windows me, and I can't seem to find where it
tells me the exact motherboard, video card, and processor specs. My display
isn't working right, and I need to install new drivers, and motherboard
patches. On windows XP there is a system info application that you can get
to by going to Programs\accessories\system tools\ system info. I am
wondering if ME has that application as well, and if so, then how do I get
to it.

Thanks, Bewchacca

MSInfo32.exe is what you are looking for - this is the same as in XP. This
file is located in the Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo
folder.

You can launch this using Start | Run and enter MSInfo.exe in the box and then
click OK or from the shortcut at Start | Programs | Accessories | System Tools
as well as from various links in Help & Support.

Mike - slight typo there....

You can launch this using Start | Run and enter ***MSInfo32.exe*** in the

box and then
click OK or from the shortcut at Start | Programs | Accessories | System

Tools
as well as from various links in Help & Support

(msinfo.exe doesn't exist in MEg)

Thanks Noel - as you say a typo but nevertheless one that would mean the
command failed. I blame not having my specs on (at long last located this
morning) and in my defence I at least managed to use the correct msinfo32.exe
at the beginning of my message. :-)
