Default pointer

my pointer seems to be out of sync. it points up and to the left of my
intened icon. So I'm opening the worg applications. Any advice?

Try updating your display drivers. Check the manufacturer of your video
card and see if they have newer drivers than you are using.

Did this always happen in this installation of Windows? If not, what
changed? Did you add or remove anything - hardware or software?

I doubt if this is a problem with the mouse, but if you have another mouse
to test with or a friend that you can borrow one from for a quick test, that
would be worth trying just to eliminate that possibility.

Have you made sure the mouse is plugged in tight and have you tried a
different mouse? How long has this been going on? Do you recall any
changes (settings, hardware, software, updates) made to the PC immediately
prior to this problem starting? Have you run a full scan of the drive with
an up to date anti virus program followed by a spyware hunt?

Spyware/scumware/adware are causing numerous system problems. I recommend
you download and use the following programs and consider removing everything
these programs identify. Be aware that there are frequent updates to these
programs and you need to check for them before every use.
