Default Problem with mswrd832.cnv

I have a user who is having a problem at home opening in Win ME Wordpad a
document created in Word. The following error occurs:

Wordpad has caused a problem in MSWRD832.CNV. Wordpad will now close. If you
continue to experience the problem, restart your computer.

They do not otherwise have problems creating, saving and opening documents
in Wordpad. Is this because some Word documents are not downwardly compatible
to Wordpad, or is it because they have some corruption in their installation?
If it is the latter, how can it be fixed? Thanks!

Your MSWRD832.CNV error:

The error you are seeing is because you are trying to open a document
written using a later version of MS Word than can be opened with WordPad.
For details see MS KB 276337 - "WD2000: Problems Opening Word Document in
WordPad" (http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=276337).

Rather that trying to use WordPad to read documents produced in Word you
might want to consider downloading and installing the free Microsoft Word
viewer (http://office.microsoft.com/download...wd97vwr32.aspx).
