Unable to ping the gateway
Have a small network running win2k advances server, attached to this network are 5 Win2k/XP Desktops and 1 Win98 Desktop( Can't Upgrade due to Aplications) All Pc are configured using DHCP. All recieve there IP address, Subnetmask, DNS, WINS and Gateway configurations correctly. All Win2k/XP amchines access the Gateway with no problems. The Win98 machine Accesses all servers and other pc with no problems. Can Ping all Machines on the network except the Gateway. All other machines can ping the gateway OK.. The Win 98 recieves all configuations correctly. it reports the gateway configuation correctly. Other pc work on the same connection point cables, etc. Have deleted and reinstalled the IP Stack.
Does anyone have an Idea what is happening? |
