this program has performed an illegal operation
in the details bartshel caused an invalid page fault in module unknown
at 0000:3131260a when i sign on i get this fault if i close it i get kicked off the internet and if i leave the message up i can still surf. how can i fix this problem is it a script problem |

It's a program installed by PeoplePC, and it's not needed. Use MSCONFIG to
disable the item and see if the error disappears and also see if you have any remaining problems (test several sites with IE, use OE to Send/Receive mail, etc.) If no problems result from disabling Bartshel, return for instructions on permanently preventing it from starting up with Windows. Unless you're going to switch from ad and spyware-laden PeoplePC to something more sane, do not uninstall any of its components. StartRunMSCONFIGenter Look on the Startup tab for the Bartshel item, uncheck it, click OK and restart when prompted. -- Gary S.
