Default need help with windows ME install

Ok i have tried about 4 times to install windows ME on a system that i
will be using to run a Vent server, the system specs are, Hard Drive-8
gigs, processor- pentium-1 266mhz, 164mbs or ram, NIC Card. i am using
an iso image for the cd, and a regular floppy for the floppy boot.
basically i can get up to the point where ive reformatted c: drive and
repartitioned.

now when i press e: it accesses it but when i try and run setup.exe or
\setup.exe, it says bad command line or file name. i am assuming that
this means its a problem with the cd drive.

plz help...

You need to use the command

E:\Setup.exe

That should do it.

At the E:\ prompt, try the DIR command and confirm that you can 'see' the
setup.exe file.
(NB - you *may* have to use DIR /P if there's too much on the screen)

Default need help with windows ME install

2)i downloaded them off of www.allbootdisks.com

This is to make a boot floppy or CD, what I asked was the source of the
Win Me iso and how this was burned to CD. You need a Microsoft or OEM CD
containing the various Win Me cab files and this is the CD that includes
setup.exe. You need rather more than a boot floppy to install Win Me and
this is something that cannot legally be downloaded unless you are a
subscriber to MSDN.
