Default IE Problems after WIN98 Reinstall

I reinstalled WIN98 on an old machine. It came with IE 4.0. I have two
issues:

1. There doesn't seem to be any downloads on www.microsoft.com and more
to upgrade this version of IE.

2. I get various script errors when browsing many web pages that result
in a request to stop running scripts or not.

Any suggestions. I'm not sure whether the WIN98 was SE or an earlier
version (and I'm not at that machine now to check).

1. Upgrade to IE6 SP1 using Windows Update or Internet Explorer Home
Page: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/default.mspx

2. Report back when you have IE6 if you still get script errors.

If you have IE4, then you do not have Win98 SE. It came with IE5.
