Thanks for the reply.

I am not currently having problems. But when I had only 64MB for W98SE, it
creaked and groaned. So I bought Cyberlat RamCleaner ($5.00) to help with
the problem. I have since upgraded to 256MB. However, I still have CRC
running on my computer.

I asked for opinions on memory managers because CRC didn't seem to be doing
anything in particular. So I was curious as to what the knowledgeable
consensus was -- useful utility/resource waster.

It appear that I blew a WHOLE FIVE BUCKS on the program :-)

Memory managers are rated as poor by those in the know.
With the price of ram so low, why not just buy and install more.
What kind of problems are you having that makes you think you are having a
memory problem?
Perhaps then, someone in this ng could help you out.

I have Googled for memory manager reviews, but they are far from

helpful.
Anyone have any thoughts on whether a memory manager (Cyberlat

RamCleaner,
TweakRam) really helps performance or just uses up resources?

Running W98SE, 256MB, PII350MZ, IBM PC300PL.

Thanks,
Dan Hacker

Create a worthless Memory Optimizer. Put blinking lights in it and
fancy graphs showing a impressive level of nothingness happening when
the program is used. Make up a fancy web site and promote it to the
hilt. Sell the snake oil cheaply enough, so that many say: "It's just
five bucks, what have I got to lose?" In no time a million people will
buy the program and you will no longer be drinking draft beer! And if
only 100,000 people buy the thing you will still have made a decent haul!
