Terminating Startup Programs
- Using WinME
- Have Office 2000 installed - Have Adobe Acrobat installed When I go Run / MSConfig, I see that I have the following (among others) programs execute on startup: a. MS Office Startup and b. Acrobat Assistant I uncheck them, apply the changes and reboot. Upon the reboot, I again run Run / MSConfig, and the above two programs are still there , being executed in my startup cfg. How can I terminate their startup upon boot? |

Hmmm...I haven't thought about the "phone-home" thing for awhile. Is anyone
running a page listing known progs and procedures to prevent this process? Kevin "Noel Paton" wrote in message ... FWIW, I just got pointed to the following tweak for Adobe Reader - which
kills the phone-home, and also speeds loading!
