Default Modem Problems WIN98

Today's analog modems work so good that many will treat an incoming call as
line noise. I had the same problem back when I used an analog modem and was
only able to solve the problem by getting a second phone line. I
eventually switched to a cable modem since the ISP fee and second line were
nearly the same price as a cable modem.

In the control modem dialing properties, I have the, disable call
waiting box "unchecked", yet when I am online and call my line to see if
it will disconnect from the internet, it will not disconnect. The phone
that I called from just keeps on ringing. I know (and have tested) that
my call waiting is working just fine. Any suggestions anyone? By the
way, thanks for answering my previous question Ron. It worked!
