Default Un-installing Windows 98

I've been having a problem with my computer and it
constantly locks up just from trying to open My Computer.
I assume something is terribly wrong with it and I've been
trying to un-install Windows 98 and re-install it. But I
don't know what to do, I've tried what the site suggested
but nothing has worked. Have any ideas?

The only way you can uninstall W98 is if you upgraded over W95 and elected
to save the W95 files during installation. There would be a W98 entry on
add remove in the control panel. Other than that, you can format the C:
drive and reinstall (all data on C: lost), reinstall to a new folder (data
is retained but requires extra hard drive space) or install over the top of
the existing system (probably will not fix the problem).
