What is occurring when the message appears? What caused you to format the
drive and install clean? This could be a ram problem--can you swap it out with known good ram? -- Regards Ron Badour, MS MVP Windows 98 Tips: http://home.satx.rr.com/badour Knowledge Base Info: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?pr=kbinfo "BOB" wrote in message ... This guy was having problems with multi different errors with the registry. I
didn't write any of them down, I was planning on an uneventful install.... When this message comes up, you hit a key and it restarts, then does the same thing the next time you try to set-up.. Registry errors often indicate RAM problems, as Ron suggested. Try a good
memory diagnostic to confirm that RAM is OK before persisting with the installation. -- Jeff Richards MS MVP (Windows - Shell/User) "BOB" wrote in message ...
