Default Registration Error

I am trying to use a floppy disk to re-install my Hewlett
Packard CD-Writer Plus 8250i and I am getting an error
message telling me that it is not able to open the file
due to registration restrictions and I should contact me
system administrator. Problem is there is no Packard Bell
in the US anymore. Does anyone know how I can correct this
restriction. My original cd-rom is not working right now
so I cannot use the original cd to do the install. I have
a Packard Bell Platinum Supreme 1956. Any help would be
great!! Thanks in advance.

This is the exact message:

This program cannot be run due to restrictions in effect
on this computer. Please contact your system
administrator.

Hope that helps. Thanks.

Exactly what are you trying to install? I know you are adding an H-P CD writer, but
what is on the floppy disk that you are trying to install? A CD-RW drive does not
need drivers installed, only CD mastering software....and there is no CD mastering
software that I am aware of that fits on a floppy disk. So, what are you trying to
install?
